Job Summary

The Reporting Management team, a sub‑team within Group FDS and FRM, is responsible for:

  • Overall management reporting across Absa Group – preparation of internal financial reporting and financial performance analysis delivered to key stakeholders including Group CE & FA, Group Exco, Board and GACC.
  • Coordination with the business unit FDS teams of key financial reports, providing analysis on business performance to support senior management decision‑making.
  • Assisting in driving the implementation of Group‑wide format and content for internal management reporting delivered to key Group stakeholders.
  • Input into Financial Results Booklet by providing analysis and commentary on the drivers of the Group's net interest margin.
  • Supporting various teams (Planning, Financial Control, Investor Relations, Media Relations) with reports, presentations, articles for half‑year and full‑year reporting of the Group’s results and ad‑hoc analysis and research, often related to presentations to Exco, the Board and other sub‑committees of the Board.

This role supports the preparation of these key deliverables and provides analysis and inputs into these processes.

Job Description
Key Accountabilities

Support the team in executing the following deliverables to Exco and other senior management.

  • Month end reporting process including monthly Flash and Exco reporting, and Quarterly Board and GACC reporting.
  • Prepare the reporting systems for monthly flash reporting.
  • Coordinate and submit BSC with the BUs and Functions.
  • Support the planning team with Outlook/RAF and MTP processes as required.
  • Support Planning and Financial Control with half‑year and year‑end booklets.
  • Participate in change processes such as understanding, testing and implementing new systems and processes.
  • Other ad‑hoc projects as required.
  • Attend meetings to get briefing on work allocations to understand and complete tasks to achieve team objectives.
Ad‑hoc Requirements / Submissions
  • Execute ad‑hoc queries daily that are dependent on external and internal requirements and vary considerably throughout the year.
  • Attend meetings as required.
Cluster Relationship Manager (CRM) Roles
  • Communicate with BUs and Functions and relay critical information and requests.
  • Perform all other duties as reasonably assigned.
