A leading processing company in Rustenburg seeks a Snr Coordinator Compliance to oversee compliance programs and ensure adherence to regulations. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in processing operations and document management systems. Qualifications

  • 5-7 years Processing operational experience is essential.
  • 5 years exposure to managing documents for regulatory compliance.
  • 3 years SharePoint experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain electronic document management for governance.
  • Ensure correct storage and classification of documents.
  • Oversee creation and approval of compliance documentation.
  • Participate in developing policies for document management.

Skills

Mine Health and Safety legislative knowledge
Knowledge of regulations relevant to governance and compliance
Familiarity with project management workflows
Knowledge of accident investigation techniques (e.g. ICAM)

About the job Snr Coordinator Compliance

DEPARTMENT: PROCESSING

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To oversee and ensure that the operations have adheres to all regulatory, legal, and internal standards while managing and maintaining the compliance programs and document management systems. Administer and draft procedures and policies to support and underpin adherence to safety, legal and management requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma/Degree in Administration, Information Management, Law or related field is essential
  • Internal Auditing and or Document Control (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001 or similar) Certificate is essential
  • Mine Health and Safety Act Legislative Certificate is essential
  • SAMTRAC or Similar is essential
  • 5-7 years Processing operational experience is essential
  • 5 years exposure to managing documents for regulatory compliance development
  • 3 years SharePoint experience
  • 3 years exposure to the operation, structure and procedures relating to the Standards Committee

COMPETENCIES:

  • Mine Health and Safety legislative knowledge
  • Knowledge of regulations relevant to the industry focused on governance and compliance
  • Familiarity with project management and development workflows
  • Knowledge of accident investigation techniques and methods e.g. ICAM

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and maintains a comprehensive electronic document management system for the effective control of governance, compliance, and development-related material to ensure the continuous availability of accurate governance documents and materials.
  • Ensures all documents are correctly classified, stored, and easily accessible to relevant teams and stakeholders.
  • Develops and disseminates information and guidance with relation to governance documents through various channels e.g. briefs, communication material, campaigns, etc. Ensures effective information flows within the operations.
  • Oversees the creation, review and approval of governance and compliance documentation.
  • Ensures legal appointment management comply with regulatory and best practise requirements.
  • Manages the legal appointment system in terms of the Mine Health and Safety At and Regulations.
  • Ensures all development and operational documentation complies with legal, regulatory and industry-specific standards.
  • Supports audits and assessments related to governance and compliance by preparing, implementing and assessing the required documentation.
  • Participates in the development of policies and procedures related to document management, data retention and security to align with regulatory and industry standards e.g. ISO 9001.
  • Analyses existing document management processes and recommends improvements for efficiency, accuracy and compliance.
