Overview

Hire Resolve's client is currently looking for a Smelt House Foreman to join their mining team based in Gauteng.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage smelt house operations, including furnace operation, metal pouring, and quality control.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintenance procedures.
  • Allocate work tasks to smelter operators and monitor their performance.
  • Implement and maintain relevant documentation and records, including production reports and safety records.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize production processes and resolve operational issues.
  • Monitor and control smelting costs, including energy consumption, consumables, and metal recovery.
  • Train and mentor smelter operators on smelting procedures, safety practices, and equipment operation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Grade 12
  • Degree / National Diploma in Metallurgy
  • Supervisory Course
  • 5 years' experience as Smelt House Foreman within the mining industry.
