Summary

An Internal Vacancy exists for a Site Manager in the Guarding Division based in Gauteng South.

The suitable candidate’s main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following :

Position Info
  • Manages on site Security Services Provider (SSP) team
  • Manage the Security Service on the following aspects :
  • Regulatory Compliance with the National Key Point Act (NKP)
  • NKP Refresher training
  • Reg 21 Refresher
  • PSIRA renewal
  • Working at Heights training
  • MIE / Criminal Vetting
  • Medical screening of all officers
  • Manage first Aid and firefighting training for all officers
  • WAG 1 submission and registration
  • Ensures that all required employees are vetted in accordance with the Z204 forms
  • Voluntary principles and human right training
  • Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance
  • Perform regular performance assessment
  • Manage the firearms onsite in accordance with the Firearm Control Act (FCA) and BPC Firearms Procedures
  • Manage the on-site officer’s Firearm competencies & SAPS registration
  • Investigate and complete all required incident and investigation reports
  • Manages the Uniform and Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) of all security staff
  • Conduct Toolbox Talks and keep record thereof
  • Implementation of site security plans dependent on alert levels
  • Implementation of contingency plan during various unrest or protests within the demographic

Preferred qualifications / attributes / skills :

Qualifications Required
  • PSIRA registered Grade A
  • Firearm competency (Handgun & Shotgun) for business purposes
  • NKP Certification and experience will be advantageous
  • Security and / or will be advantageous
  • Computer literacy (Essential)
Skills & Experience (Desired)
  • Management experience (at least 3 years)
  • Experience in the petroleum sector is an advantage
  • Understanding the following Legal Aspects & Principles
  • PSIRA – Private Security Industry Regulatory Act
