Job summary

A construction company in the Western Cape is seeking an experienced Site Clerk to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing various administrative requirements, ensuring health and safety compliance, and managing attendance records. Ideal applicants should have a Grade 12 Senior Certificate and a National Certificate or Diploma in Office Administration, along with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in the construction environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Site Clerk of 2 to 5 years.
  • Previous experience within the construction environment.
  • The ability to execute repetitive activities daily.

Responsibilities

  • Process various administrative requirements and controls for site activities.
  • Create a forward plan of orders and ensure that requisitions are timeously processed.
  • Ensure adequate PPE is sourced and in place.
  • Manage Attendance Registers to ensure payments/wages are correctly calculated.
  • Conduct Toolbox Talks.
  • Ensure that all site-specific requirements for Health, Safety and Environment are in place.
  • Ensure that all Health, Safety and Environment Files are in place and available for inspection.
  • Liaise with Staff in terms of their own Health and Safety and ensure that any requirements are timeously addressed.
  • Maintain proper and accurate document controls.
