We are currently expanding our team and seeking an experienced retail professional to lead our flagship showroom, with the goal of enhancing customer experience and driving sales performance to new heights.

Job Summary

This is a unique leadership role for an experienced store manager from a premium retail environment. You will be responsible for the entire showroom operation, from visual merchandising and team leadership to sales strategy and client relationship management. We are specifically interested in professionals with a background in leading South African retail chains in the building materials, tile, or sanitaryware sector, who are ready to bring their expertise to a growing market and be a key part of our success story in Ghana.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all daily operations of the Twyford showroom, ensuring a premium customer experience that reflects our brand standards.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction targets.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a team of sales consultants and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence and deep product knowledge.
  • Implement and maintain high standards of visual merchandising, product display, and showroom cleanliness.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, architects, contractors, and developers.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to inform inventory planning and commercial decisions.
  • Ensure excellent after-sales service, including managing custom orders, delivery coordination, and client feedback.
  • Uphold all company policies, procedures, and health & safety standards.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of retail management experience within a major, structured building materials or home improvement retail chain.
  • Ideal candidates will have benefited from a comprehensive in-house training program and understand best practices in sales processes, customer service, and store operations from a market leader.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and develop a sales team. Experience in staff training and performance management is crucial.
  • Strong understanding of retail KPIs, sales forecasting, inventory management, and margin control.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional service and building long-term client relationships.
  • Resilience and the ability to thrive in a new, dynamic international environment. Experience working in or relocating within Africa is beneficial.
  • We are targeting established professionals, typically with significant and relevant experience, who combine proven expertise with the energy to build something significant.
  • Fluent in English.
