Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

• Supervises the day to day operations of the Environmental Health and Safety units.
• Ensures the operation is effective and efficient.
• Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates Environmental Health & Safety programs to ensure safe operating and working environments.
• Oversees and reviews policies to ensure compliance with established standards.
• Selects, supervises, trains, and motivates staff.
• Develops, implements and maintains accident statistical bases for internal and external reporting.
• Prepares and presents a variety of reports, communications, and other documents.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Typically possesses a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 8 or more years of relevant experience.

Knowledge and Skills

• Solid knowledge of relevant safety regulations.
• Good administration, planning and organization skills.
• Takes an analytical approach to complex issues and problem solving.
• Demonstrated ability to train and coach colleagues.
• Solid interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to analyze data pertaining to program functions and interpret other management information.
