Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day site operations on marine or civil construction projects.
• Supervise foremen, labour teams, divers, subcontractors, operators, and suppliers.
• Plan and execute construction sequences to meet daily and weekly production targets.
• Ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety checks, and workforce briefings.
• Manage on-site logistics including plant, materials, equipment, and deliveries.
• Identify risks, issues, or delays early and implement corrective actions.
• Read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
• Maintain strict site discipline and professional communication.
• Report progress, challenges, and requirements to management daily.
• Work closely with the Technical Director for support and oversight.

Guerrini Marine Construction (GMC) is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Site Manager to lead the daily execution of marine and civil construction projects across the Western Cape. Our projects include slipways, groynes, quay walls, marine structures, piling works, and coastal infrastructure.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on-site, takes ownership, and can drive productivity while maintaining the highest standards of safety and workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day site operations on marine or civil construction projects
• Supervise foremen, labour teams, divers, subcontractors, operators, and suppliers
• Plan and execute construction sequences to meet daily and weekly production targets
• Ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and to GMC’s quality standards
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety checks, and workforce briefings
• Manage on-site logistics including plant, materials, equipment, and deliveries
