Our client, based in [Location], operates in the supply chain solutions, transportation, customs compliance, warehousing, and distribution environment. As a global company, they are looking for a talented Senior Sales Representative to join their local team. The individual will be responsible for solution selling in freight forwarding and must have freight forwarding experience, a shipping background, and solution selling skills.
Responsibilities:
- Manage an assigned territory and demonstrate extensive knowledge of potential customers and competitors in this area.
- Ensure timely data entry in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool.
- Build relationships with customers and collaborate with regional teams, geographic regions, and Knowledge Management resources.
- Create value-added solutions for customers’ logistics needs, including network diagrams and cost-benefit solutions.
- Support the transition of new accounts.
- Assist with accounts receivable collection.
- Own the credit setup process for new customers onboarding.
- Attend training and development sessions to enhance selling skills and stay updated on company products and services.
- Participate in local trade groups as directed by the DSM.
- Make 50 sales calls every month or as directed by DSM.
- Conduct required joint calls as directed by DSM.
- Achieve individual sales targets and meet budgets.
- Maintain a diversified sales pipeline across verticals and company services.
- Support additional assignments as required to meet company needs.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Well-versed with the trade market.
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the required market.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.
- Sense of urgency for achieving goals.
- Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
