In order to support the ongoing growth of Marsh Valuation Services Practice (VSP) both nationally and throughout Africa and the Middle East (MEA) we are seeking a Senior Valuations Consultant to join our Sandton teams Plant & Machinery Valuation unit. We are specialists in valuation of property plant and equipment assets throughout the MEA region (with a global reach). The role will see you contribute to the Plant & Machinery valuation team within VSP while undertaking valuations across MEA for a range of purposes. We have a strong focus on financial reporting and insurance valuations with no reliance on bank panels or mortgage valuations. This role would suit a driven growth focused individual with experience in undertaking valuations across a range of industries who is looking for an opportunity to grow within business with the support of a major global organisation.

SENIOR PLANT & MACHINERY VALUER

We will count on you to

  • Mentor junior valuers, providing skills transfer and overseeing consultants growth and career progression.
  • Take valuation projects with the support of the team.
  • Maintain and enhance internal processes and procedures.
  • Lead projects whilst working on valuations and asset related projects and providing sign‑off on valuation outputs for the Plant & Machinery.
  • Develop new business and manage client and internal stakeholder relationships to enhance renewal business and source opportunities.
  • Enhance reporting and expand our current service offerings.
  • Travel locally and internationally for projects, client commitments and strategic purposes.
  • Manage a team, project engagements and ensure client deadlines.

What you need to have

  • College/University diploma or degree or equivalent work experience.
  • MRICS/ASA qualification preferred / SACPVP preferred / Engineering background preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years Plant & Machinery valuation or relevant experience.
  • Valuation for insurance market value fair value and other popular requirements.
  • Experience with plant & equipment.
  • Clear and concise oral and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable and experienced working with technology solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools Outlook Word and Excel.
  • Strong numerical skills.

ASSOCIATE VALUATIONS CONSULTANT

To support the ongoing growth of Marsh Valuation Services both nationally and in Africa we are seeking an Associate Valuation Consultant to join our Sandton team. We are specialists in valuations of property infrastructure plant and equipment assets throughout the IMEA Region for public and private sector clients.

We will rely on you to

  • Undertake valuation projects with the support of the team, assisting with maintenance and enhancement of internal processes and procedures.
  • Lead and work on valuations and asset related projects.
  • Develop new business and manage client and internal stakeholder relationships to enhance renewal business and source opportunities.
  • Enhance reporting and expand our current service offerings.
  • Travel locally and internationally for projects, client commitments and strategic purposes.
  • Manage a team, project engagements and ensure client deadlines.

What you need to have

  • College/University diploma or degree with valuations major or equivalent work experience.
  • SACPVP Candidate working towards Professional Associated Valuer registration in the year.
  • MRICS qualification or candidacy preferred.
