Market Access Strategist Role

This role is focused on developing and implementing strategic policy initiatives to support business in Sub Sahara Africa.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to create a favorable operating environment through innovative policy strategies and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage strategic policy initiatives to support business in SSA
  • Create a favorable operating environment through innovative policy strategies
  • Serve as a thought partner to senior leaders in anticipating and assessing the impact of external policies on business strategy
  • Develop and lead patient advocacy strategies in SSA to support key company priorities
  • Provide strategic counsel and tactical communications support to commercial teams
  • Work collaboratively across functions to manage proactive and reactive external communications
  • Partner with local country teams to ensure alignment with global messaging and priorities
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare policy, pharmaceutical pricing and reimbursement issues, and the local healthcare system.

They will also possess excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as strong oral and written communication skills.

  • University Degree in Life Science, Medicine, Pharmacy or Health Policy
  • High level knowledge of healthcare policy and pharmaceutical pricing and reimbursement issues
  • Excellent knowledge of the local healthcare system and its major players and decision-makers
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective solutions and comprehensive plans that deliver results
  • Strong understanding of business strategy and key drivers of commercial success
  • Skilled at anticipating, identifying, and addressing emerging issues and related risks
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with leaders and effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders
