A leading global sports company is looking for a Senior Manager to lead the merchandising strategy in South Africa. The ideal candidate will have experience in product strategy, strong consumer insights into the South African market, and the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team. You will lead a dedicated team of Merchants focused on serving consumers in South Africa with the right product at the right price time place and depth. The team are experts consumerists who inform adopt and differentiate Sports line plan to shape the South Africa Marketplace for growth and distinction. Youll drive the strategy to land Sport Merchandising Fundamentals seasonal Line Plans distinct assortment frameworks informed by insights analytics and marketplace capacity. Youll report into the Sr Director of Brand Merchandising and manage a high-performing diverse and inclusive team of Sport Merchants.

Experience collaborating cross-functionally in an international matrix organization.
Understanding of consumer needs to inform assortment needs for the full marketplace while meeting revenue per sku productivity targets
Proven ability to lead motivate and coach a highly effective team of merchants.
Strong understanding of South African consumer and retail landscape.
Ability to tell product innovation stories that resonate with the audience.
Bachelors degree in Business Marketing or related discipline.
You will lead the merchandising strategy for South Africa ensuring alignment with global standards while tailoring assortments to local consumer needs. Your work will involve driving clarity accountability and delivering results through effective planning and execution.
