Senior Local Accountant

Could you be the accountant in Boksburg Johannesburg we’re looking for? This will be a temporary contract to start with, but who knows how life might change.

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your financial management expertise in a cutting‑edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and driven teammates. You’ll ensure financial accuracy, compliance and efficiency in delivering key financial information for statutory and management purposes. Day‑to‑day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business such as Tax, Treasury, Internal Audit and Regional Management, oversee monthly closing processes, and coordinate reconciliations while interacting with external stakeholders like auditors, banks and regulatory bodies.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Developing, implementing and maintaining best‑practice policies and procedures to ensure robust financial control
  • Providing advice on financial matters while ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and corporate standards
  • Monitoring and reviewing balance sheets and cash forecasts for multiple entities
  • Coordinating bank account management and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Supporting the Business Development Team with financial information for tenders
  • Driving financial awareness and continuous improvement across the organization
  • Coordinating internal and external audits and ensuring timely resolution of findings
  • Preparing VAT returns and assisting in corporate income tax preparation
  • Preparing management accounts and board information as required
