Senior Legal Advisor – Johannesburg

A well-established financial services team is looking for an admitted attorney with strong experience in Wills, estates and trusts. This role focuses on delivering accurate, compliant legal work while supporting clients through important planning decisions with clarity and professionalism.

As Senior Legal Advisor, you will be responsible for drafting and reviewing Wills and trust documents, providing legal guidance, and ensuring all estate and trust structures are correctly set up and maintained. The position includes independent trusteeship, handling ad hoc trust matters, and offering reliable legal support across a range of fiduciary issues. It suits someone who is steady, detail-driven and comfortable engaging directly with clients and financial planners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft and review Wills, Living Wills, Letters of Wishes and trust documents
  • Provide legal advice on estate planning and attend client meetings
  • Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, planners and co-trustees
  • Administer trusts, including independent trusteeship and ad hoc matters
  • Manage legal documentation for new and existing trusts, amendments and resolutions
Requirements
  • LLB and admitted attorney (South Africa)
