Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a skilled manufacturing professional to assemble and repair hydraulic components in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience, a qualified artisan certificate, and knowledge of hydraulic systems. Duties include striping and repairing cylinders, machining, and ensuring high quality standards through adherence to ISO requirements. This offers a dynamic role within a hands-on manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Assist with assessments for quotation purposes.
• Bending of hydraulic tubing.
• General fitting.
• Dis-assembly and assembly of pumps requiring adjustment and setting.

Responsibilities

• Strip and repair cylinders.
• Prepare parts for spray painting.
• Hand welding by mechanically fed electrodes.
• Machining hydraulic components according to specifications.
• Deburring of all manufactured parts.
• Check, prepare and mark own components.

Skills

Grade 12 (Matric)/N3 or equivalent

Minimum of 4 years manufacturing experience

Qualified Artisan / Trade Test

Knowledge of powerpacks, pumps and cylinders

Fault finding

Fabrication

Able to read Hydraulic schematics

Able to operate conventional machinery

Familiar with ISO 9001:2015 standards

Use of measuring instruments
