Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience of designing road engineering schemes, desirable with some safety related experience.
• Ability to reply to Councillors, MPs, and residents’ concerns regarding road safety.
• Capable of providing professional and technical advice in road safety and highway engineering.
• Aptitude for analysing engineering problems and proposing effective solutions.
• Experience in or willingness to learn road safety auditing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the road network is safe and suitable for all users.
• Work towards Vision Zero aim of zero fatalities or serious injuries by 2040.
• Undertake the duty holder’s role under the CDM Regulations 2015.
