Job summary

A global renewable energy company in Cape Town is seeking a Senior Finance Controller responsible for managing all finance and administrative matters for affiliates. This role requires at least 8 years of experience in finance and a strong understanding of accounting, tax, and audit processes. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in ERP software and excellent skills in financial analysis and reporting. Qualifications

YOUR MISSIONS

Under the authority of the Regional CFO along with an in‑depth relationship with the Country Manager, the Senior Finance Controller is fully responsible for any administrative and finance matters relating to all Voltalia affiliate companies registered and future companies in his/her region:

  • The Senior Finance Controller should lead and anticipate (be proactive over) the administrative and finance matters in his/her area scope, with the appropriate support of training, human and system resources, internally and externally.
  • The Senior Finance Controller is accountable for:
    • Reliable internal and external financial releases;
    • Compliance with regulations in Secure internal control environment;
    • Research for performance solution to follow‑up the business.

The Senior Finance Controller is the face of finance outside the company and is responsible (with cooperation to dedicated department) for administrative and finance matters encompassing without being limitative accounting, banking, tax, internal controls, customs, corporate secretary as well litigations and procurement documentation, statutory financial statements duly audited and published, financial analysis, budgeting, process improvements, and cash flow management to ensure regulatory compliance, financial integrity, and efficient operations within the company.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES
  • Degree Level: Business school or post‑graduate degree in management;
  • At least 8 years of previous experience in finance and accounting, including experience in a fast‑growing environment (transformation of the finance function, implementation of procedures, ...);
  • Knowledge Areas:
    • General and cost accounting;
    • Tax education;
    • Audit processes;
    • Knowledge of ERP and consolidation software;
    • Advanced use of Microsoft Office;
    • English proficiency.
