Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of financial accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the insurance sector.

• Completed SAICA Articles.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of financial results (monthly, biannual, and annual statements).
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and insurance regulations.
• Manage general ledger accounts, payable/receivable, and intercompany transactions.
• Support internal controls and month-end reconciliations.
• Handle VAT calculations and ensure tax compliance.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
• Drive process improvement and system enhancement projects.

Duties

• Lead the preparation of financial results (monthly biannual and annual statements)
