Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Registration with Engineering Council of South Africa or equivalent preferred.
• 8+ years’ experience with industrial/process plant or renewable/hydrogen projects exposure.
• Deep knowledge of IEC, IEEE, NFPA, NEC, SANS, NRS codes.
• Proficiency in DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP, PSCAD, AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to produce FEED/EPC deliverables.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and cross-disciplinary coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop the electrical design basis for hydrogen production facility.
• Create load lists and power balance for the project.
• Draw single-line diagrams and system architecture.

The main purpose of the role:

The Senior Electrical Engineer will take a lead role in designing and delivering the electrical scope of a hydrogen production facility, ensuring compliance with all applicable construction standards, grid codes, and hydrogen-specific regulations. This is a deliverables-based role, with responsibility for defined outputs to support the FEED/EPC phases of the project.
