Job description

A Senior Designer is required to lead high-quality design work across projects, in an advertising agency. You’ll collaborate closely with studio, client service and our clients to deliver thoughtful, effective design solutions that align with business goals and user needs. This position is based in Sandton.

This role is hands-on and strategic—ideal for a designer who can both execute excellent work and elevate the design standard across the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design projects from concept through execution, ensuring high craft and consistency
• Contribute to and help evolve brand, design systems, and visual standards
• Present and articulate design decisions to stakeholders with clarity and confidence
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, other designers, proof readers, medical copywriters and client service
• Mentor and provide constructive feedback to mid-level and junior designers
• Manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines
• Stay current with design trends, tools, and best practices
• Ability to work across all design touch points i.e. Concept, Design, Video, Digital, DTP and Repro

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional design experience as a senior designer
• Pharmaceutical knowledge and understanding would be beneficial
• Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality design work and problem-solving
• Expertise in relevant design tools (i.e. Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
• Solid understanding of typography, layout, colour, and visual hierarchy
• Experience working within design systems and brand guidelines
