Job description
  • Develop, document, and implement data quality processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data in Global Markets.
  • Establish data quality metrics and monitoring mechanisms, including technical dashboards for ongoing assessment and improvements.
  • Design and implement data workflows that integrate quality controls into core business processes.
  • Implement data governance frameworks, including data attestation and lineage, to safeguard data integrity and usability.
  • Support Global Markets data initiatives in alignment with enterprise data governance and broader company data strategies.
  • Monitor compliance with relevant data legislations and regulations in South Africa, other African countries, and global jurisdictions where Global Markets operates.
  • Conduct research to ensure up-to-date knowledge of evolving regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Collaborate with data producers, traders, risk management, IT, and other departments to ensure data quality and governance objectives are met.
  • Build dashboards with anomaly alerts and resolution workflows involving data source owners.
  • Lead and contribute to data remediation projects and initiatives across Global Markets.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or Information Management .
Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within Investment Banking / Capital Markets in IT and data-focused roles.
  • 5-10 years of business and data analysis experience within a Global Markets environment.
Skills and Competencies:

Strong experience working with Cloud technologies, especially AWS.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
