Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of fixed-line telecoms technologies (DSL, fibre, VoIP, SD-WAN, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the gathering, analysis, and documentation of business requirements.
  • Translate complex business needs into actionable system specifications.
  • Analyse and optimise business processes, ensuring alignment with ITIL.
  • Collaborate with OSS and application teams to support integrations.
  • Oversee testing, service transition, and post-implementation support.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and alignment.
  • Mentor and guide junior Business Analysts.
  • Support change management initiatives.

Are you an experienced Business Analyst ready to lead high-impact transformation in a fast-paced telecommunications environment?

A leading client is seeking a seasoned Senior Business Analyst – ServiceNow & OSS Systems to join their team on a 12-month contract. This hybrid role, based in Midrand, offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of commercial strategy, technical delivery, and advanced OSS / ServiceNow systems within a fixed‑line telecommunications environment.

Acting as a key link between business and technical teams, the successful candidate will bring deep telecoms expertise, exceptional analytical abilities, and strong leadership in shaping system requirements and driving integration excellence.

Key Duties
  • Lead the gathering, analysis, and documentation of business requirements across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Translate complex business needs into clear and actionable system specifications.
  • Analyse and optimise business processes, ensuring alignment with ITIL and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Collaborate with OSS and application teams to support integrations, including a strong focus on ServiceNow TOMT.
  • Oversee testing, service transition, and post‑implementation support.
  • Manage diverse stakeholder expectations and maintain alignment across teams.
  • Mentor and guide junior Business Analysts, promoting best practice frameworks.
  • Support change management initiatives and contribute to training development for various user groups.
Requirements
  • South African nationality.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst (10+ years preferred within fixed‑line telecommunications).
  • Strong, hands‑on OSS experience with deep knowledge of ServiceNow modules (ITSM, TSM, TSOM, TNI, TOMT).
  • Solid understanding of fixed‑line telecoms technologies (DSL, fibre, VoIP, SD‑WAN, etc.).
  • Proven experience with TM Forum ODA and service management principles.
  • Exceptional communication ability, articulating complex concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and process‑optimisation capabilities.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management and leadership skills.
  • Experience mentoring junior team members.
  • Engineering degree (B.Eng or B.Tech in Electronics / Communications).
  • ServiceNow certifications (Business Process Analyst, Systems Administration, Technical Project Manager).
  • Business Analysis certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI‑PBA) advantageous.
