Job description
Introduction

We are hiring a Senior Associate for one of our reputable corporate finance leaders in SA market!

Requirements include (but are not limited to):

  • Bachelors and/or Post Graduate Degree in Business and/or Finance (or other if subsequent work experience in finance).
  • Studying to become a Chartered Accountant CA(SA) Masters in Commerce and/or pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst designations (Level 2 minimum).
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in knowledge of alternative investment strategies such as buyouts, growth equity and BEE transactions.
  • Exposure to corporate finance, investment banking, leveraged finance, transaction advisory or mergers and acquisitions; strategy consulting which should include experience in valuation and due diligence, corporate finance, M&A and/or private equity transactions.
  • Ability to conduct industry research, formulate and critically evaluate investment theses, rigorously interrogate and analyse information, articulate opinions and distil through excellent report writing skills.
  • Strong financial modelling, valuation and risk assessment skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of value drivers.
