Overview
Your duties will include, but are not limited to :
- Client Consultation and Planning: Meet with clients to develop tax strategies and financial plans to minimize liabilities and achieve financial goals
- Tax Preparation and Compliance: Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations to ensure compliance with tax laws
- Audit Planning and Risk Assessment: Plan and execute audits, assessing financial risks and internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory compliance
- Financial Examination and Verification: Examine financial records and statements for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to accounting standards
- Internal Control Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend improvements to internal controls to enhance operational efficiency and compliance
- Research and Analysis: Conduct research on tax laws and accounting standards, providing accurate advice and support audit findings
- Client Representation and Communication: Represent clients during tax audits and communicate audit results and recommendations to management and stakeholders
- Financial Reporting and Documentation: Assist clients in preparing financial statements and maintain detailed audit documentation and workpapers
- Compliance Review and Assurance: Review financial records to ensure adherence to tax laws, regulations, and industry standards, providing assurance of financial integrity
- Continuous Education and Ethical Standards: Stay updated on tax laws and auditing standards, maintaining high ethical standards and confidentiality in client interactions
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3-4 years post article experience
- Qualification: Degree
- Completed articles
- PA(SA), AGA(SA) or similar
