Senior Scrum Master – Mobile Network & Financial Services
We are seeking a Senior Scrum Master with proven experience delivering Mobile Network Operating (MNO) initiatives within banking and telecommunications environments. The ideal candidate excels in Agile delivery leadership, senior stakeholder engagement, and operating under high-pressure conditions, while maintaining a pragmatic, outcome-focused approach.
This role requires a professional who can bridge business, regulatory, and delivery teams, guide Agile maturity, and ensure predictable delivery in complex, multi-vendor, and regulated environments. Deep technical expertise is not required; however, a solid understanding of mobile networks, digital platforms, and enterprise delivery models is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Agile Delivery & Scrum Leadership
- Act as Senior Scrum Master for one or more cross‑functional teams delivering MNO‑related initiatives.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand‑ups, Reviews, Retrospectives) ensuring consistency, discipline, and continuous improvement.
- Coach teams on Agile principles, Scrum best practices, and pragmatic adoption in enterprise environments.
- Remove impediments and manage dependencies across teams, vendors, and platforms.
- Drive predictable delivery while balancing speed, quality, and compliance.
Mobile Network & Domain Collaboration
- Support delivery of initiatives related to: Mobile network operations, Digital channels and mobile platforms, SIM‑based services, authentication, and customer onboarding, Telecom‑banking integrations and partnerships.
- Collaborate closely with network operations, IT, product, risk, and compliance teams.
- Ensure Agile delivery aligns with telecom standards and banking regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as a trusted delivery partner for senior stakeholders, including Executives and senior management, Business owners and product heads, Regulatory, risk, and compliance leaders, External vendors and system integrators.
- Translate delivery status into clear, concise, executive‑level communication.
- Manage expectations, resolve conflicts, and maintain alignment under tight timelines and competing priorities.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure Agile delivery operates effectively within banking and telecom governance frameworks.
- Support audit, regulatory, and risk processes without compromising delivery velocity.
- Track and report delivery metrics (velocity, predictability, risks, dependencies).
- Escalate risks and issues early with clear mitigation plans.
Coaching & Leadership
- Mentor junior Scrum Masters and Agile practitioners.
- Influence teams without direct authority using servant leadership.
- Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Help teams remain focused and resilient during periods of high pressure and change.
Required Skills & Experience
Essential Experience
- 8+ years of experience in Agile delivery, with 5+ years as a Scrum Master.
- Demonstrated experience working on Mobile Network Operating (MNO) or telecom‑related projects.
- Proven delivery experience in banking and/or financial services environments.
- Experience working in large, complex, regulated organizations.
- Track record of successfully managing senior stakeholders.
Technical & Domain Knowledge (Low–Medium Depth)
- Solid conceptual understanding of Mobile networks and digital platforms.
- Enterprise IT delivery models.
- Systems integration and vendor‑led delivery.
- Ability to facilitate technical discussions without being hands‑on.
- Comfortable working with architects, engineers, and operations teams.
Agile & Delivery Skills
- Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid Agile frameworks.
- Scaled Agile environments (SAFe, LeSS, or similar – practical experience preferred).
- Ability to adapt Agile practices to non‑ideal, high‑governance environments.
- Strong risk, dependency, and delivery planning capabilities.
