Minimum Job Requirements
  • Bachelorâs Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in logistics or freight sales, preferably in the commodities or mining sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Southern African logistics corridors and port operations.
  • Strong track record of achieving sales target and driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and develop comprehensive business development plans.
  • Solid understanding of market research and analysis.
  • Experience in preparing and delivering presentations to clients and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Report to the Business Development Manager:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to grow the logistics portfolio in the commodities sector.
  • Identify and engage new clients in the mining and trading sectors across Southern Africa and international markets.
  • Manage end-to-end logistics solutions including road, rail, and port operations for bulk commodities (Chrome, Lithium, Copper, etc).
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients, ensuring profitability and service excellence.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and commodity flows to identify new business opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and client interactions using CRM tools.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to promote the companyâs logistics capabilities.
