- Strong track record of achieving sales target and driving revenue growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and develop comprehensive business development plans.
- Solid understanding of market research and analysis.
- Experience in preparing and delivering presentations to clients and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Business Development Manager:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow the logistics portfolio in the commodities sector.
- Identify and engage new clients in the mining and trading sectors across Southern Africa and international markets.
- Manage end-to-end logistics solutions including road, rail, and port operations for bulk commodities (Chrome, Lithium, Copper, etc).
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients, ensuring profitability and service excellence.
- Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and commodity flows to identify new business opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and client interactions using CRM tools.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to promote the companyâs logistics capabilities.
