Our client is looking for a resilient and self-motivated Sales Rep in the Eastern Cape to join the team.
Purpose of the Job
The Sales Rep will be responsible for driving strategic sales growth, managing existing accounts, and helping expand the presence in untapped markets. The incumbent will identify and secure new business opportunities in the Retail, Hospitality, Healthcare, Automotive, Independents, Education, Tender, and similar segments. The Sales Rep will play a key role in expanding market presence and driving revenue growth to meet sales goals and targets, and will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer in order to boost top‑line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve targets in the toweling sector.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of key B2B and B2C clients across retail, hospitality, wholesale and additional sectors.
- Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure that they receive exceptional service and to identify new sales opportunities.
- Conduct product presentations, pricing negotiations, and contract management.
- Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, Key Account Managers, production, and logistics.
- Identify prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business in all service categories.
- Prepare concise and accurate reports, proposals, product displays, and other required documentation for executive‑level presentations.
- Achieve monthly goals and weekly sales targets by assessing current client needs and potential client opportunities.
- Achieve agreed‑upon sales targets and KPIs for the role.
- Work closely with the Key Account Managers to ensure that quotas are being met and company standards are being upheld.
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximise satisfaction.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the region and across borders.
- Provide regular market intelligence and customer feedback to the collective team.
- Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and client meetings as required.
- Manage and oversee the Factory outlet as part of the job requirement.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification or similar.
- 2‑3 years relevant experience in B2B sales, preferably within the textile or toweling industry.
- Manufacturing experience is an advantage.
- Computer literacy.
- Must have good communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong network of industry contacts is a plus.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and managing high‑value accounts.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
- Self‑motivated, target‑driven, and strategic in approach.
- Willingness to travel as required.
