Job description

Our client is a national leader in the supply of quality tertiary education in South Africa.

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager for their campus in Stellenbosch.

Responsibilities
  1. Business development & Sales Support
  2. Increase awareness, engagement, and retention by sharing the value proposition of clients' products through regular on-site visits, which may include extensive travel.
  3. Develop positive relationships and handle customer needs.
  4. Manage leads and support the daily activities of the full-time career sales team in the specified area/region.
  5. Manage regional sales budgets and performance of employees and campuses to ensure profitable growth in sales revenue through planning, execution, and team management.
  6. Oversee all sales-related projects including new product rollouts, training, and support.
  7. Responsible for process improvement in collaboration with the Sales Director.
  8. Forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly sales goals.
  9. Prepare sales-related documents, including stats and reports.
  10. Assist sales personnel with techniques and strategies.
  11. Contribute ideas to marketing initiatives and monitor responses.
  12. Support marketing strategies and initiatives.
  13. Present and book school appointments as required.
  14. Build relationships with key individuals—schools, teachers, principals, parents, prospective students.
  15. Assist with presentations to Grade 11 & 12 learners and create first contact opportunities with learners from Grade 8 to 10.
  16. Build relationships with funding and student loan organizations.
  17. Address team concerns professionally and promptly.
  18. Coordinate school marketing and expos.
  19. Handle branding, awareness, sponsorship, and client representation.
Database / Lead Generation
  1. Manage and control data collection against targets per campus/marketer.
  2. Monitor data collection efforts, aiming for 60-80% collection vs. target groups.
  3. Ensure swift feedback to leads via information cards after presentations.
  4. Monitor events and opportunities to enhance lead conversion.
  5. Work with campus sales teams to maximize event attendance and enrolments.
Overall Marketing & Enrolment Generation
  1. Implement direct marketing and sales plans.
  2. Launch new products and solutions, including teacher training and additional programs, to build long-term school relationships.
  3. Monitor appointment bookings with schools, teachers, prospects, and guardians.
  4. Manage the mining of career databases for events.
  5. Work towards strict activity and financial targets.
  6. Assist with student registration and enrollment processes.
  7. Participate in awareness campaigns and organize campus events like open days and weeks.
  8. Attend trade shows and events to market products.
  9. Maintain overall presence and promotion at schools and events in the region.
  10. Devise and execute marketing campaigns to increase awareness, sales, and profits.
  11. Coordinate marketing and sales programs, including roadshows and enrolment drives.
  12. Act as the liaison for outside, inside, and partner sales teams.
  13. Collaborate with marketing teams to create effective programs.
  14. Support company initiatives, share best practices, and serve as an information resource.
  15. Monitor lead generation effectiveness through school relations.
  16. Provide feedback on marketing efforts and recommend innovative approaches.
  17. Research local competitors and industry trends.
  18. Manage marketing workbooks, stats, CRM, and expenditures.
Requirements
Education
  • Sales and/or Marketing qualification beneficial.
Work Experience & Skills
  • Experience in academic advising or related careers in post-secondary education preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and administrative skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, persuade, and influence others.
  • Attention to detail, goal-oriented, and capable of working under pressure.
  • Experience with CRM applications and handling sensitive information.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and sales track record.

Hours: 45 hours per week, from 08:00 to 16:30, including Saturdays for events as required.
