Sales Manager Africa – Flow Controls & Instruments

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead and grow our Flow Controls & Instrumentation Business Unit across Southern and East Africa. In this role, you will combine technical expertise and sales leadership to drive revenue, expand market share, and develop long-term client relationships in industries such as mining, oil & gas, chemicals, and power generation.

This is a high-impact position where you will work closely with global and regional teams to deliver innovative flow control solutions (valves, actuators, digital valve controllers, and related services) to both new and existing clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement territory sales strategies to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Lead business development initiatives to grow market share and displace competitors.
  • Engage directly with end-users, EPCs, and key decision-makers on Greenfield and Brownfield projects.
  • Provide technical solutions and product expertise to support customer requirements.
  • Drive digital valve services and connected solutions in line with industry digitalization trends.
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships to ensure sustained growth.
  • Conduct market analysis, competitor intelligence, and sales forecasting.
  • Collaborate with local and global teams to deliver strategic project wins.
What you must have
  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Process, or related).
  • 10+ years’ experience in sales, business development, or account management within valves, flow control, or process automation.
  • Strong knowledge of control valve sizing & selection.
  • Proven track record in project pursuit and territory growth.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, fluent in English (French is an advantage).
  • Self-motivated, customer-focused, and able to work across multicultural environments.
