Job Summary :

The primary purpose of this role is to drive Sales & Business Development activities for Measurement Solutions (Pressure, Temp, Analyzer, Flow, and Level Field Instrumentation, Wireless products) in the Metals and Mining Industry within South Africa and Southern African Countries. The position aims to promote traditional Measurement Solutions technology, facilitate competitive displacement, explore new applications, and foster technology adoption of Emerson products and solutions to grow the business in the sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales targets and support project pursuits in the Metals & Mining industry.
  • Identify and develop growth opportunities within Metals & Mining accounts, including mining customers and EPCs/system integrators.
  • Understand customer challenges and needs related to field instrumentation and recommend suitable Emerson Measurement solutions.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to acquire new customers and projects, maintaining an accurate pursuit list and sales forecast.
  • Provide monthly reports and forecasts to the Sales Director and meet sales targets.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction by understanding their needs and providing effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with regional sales teams, Product Managers, and cross-functional resources to ensure customer needs are met and proposals are competitive and timely.
  • Coordinate with customers and internal teams to prioritize efforts, gather competitive intelligence, and improve service.
  • Stay updated on industry developments, market trends, and product innovations.
  • Prepare and present marketing forecasts, pricing surveys, and competitor intelligence, collaborating with regional managers.
  • Work with other Emerson groups to develop content and identify new opportunities.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing and potential customers, including third-party personnel influencing purchasing decisions.
  • Perform other duties as required, ensuring compliance with trade procedures.
