Sales Manager

A dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager is sought to lead a high-performing sales and enquiry team in the luxury travel space. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, analytical, and people management capabilities to support the execution of sales strategies, drive performance, and maintain exceptional customer service standards.

Role Overview

The Sales Manager will play a key role in leading and developing a team of travel consultants, managing individual and team performance, and ensuring a high conversion rate from enquiry to booking. Reporting to the Head of Sales and working closely with the broader sales leadership and operational teams, this role requires a strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, client-centric environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coach the Sales & Enquiry Team to meet and exceed conversion and revenue targets
  • Oversee team and individual KPIs, pipeline performance, and activity management
  • Support and implement consultative sales techniques to drive high-value bookings
  • Monitor customer interactions and ensure timely, professional responses to enquiries
  • Address and resolve client feedback, escalations, and objections effectively
  • Identify individual and team skills gaps; implement development and training initiatives
  • Collaborate with operations to improve workflow, system usage, and service efficiency
  • Maintain CRM data integrity and ensure proper use of sales tools and technologies
  • Document and share sales best practices across the team
Requirements
  • Minimum 3+ years of B2C sales management experience (luxury travel or similar industries preferred)
  • Demonstrated success in managing high-performing sales teams
  • Experience working with high-net-worth clients in a consultative selling environment
  • Working knowledge of African and Indian Ocean Island destinations is advantageous
  • Proficient in HubSpot Sales Hub (or similar CRM such as Salesforce) and itinerary software (e.g., Tourplan)
  • Strong coaching, leadership, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and reporting abilities
