Job Summary
The Sales Consultant is responsible for engaging with customers, identifying their needs, and recommending suitable products or services. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, achieving sales targets, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement
- Welcome and assist customers in-store or via phone/email.
- Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products or solutions.
- Provide detailed product information and answer customer questions.
- Conduct product demonstrations when required.
- Sales & Target Achievement
- Meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
- Upsell and cross‑sell products to maximise revenue.
- Process sales transactions accurately.
- Follow up with customers to secure repeat business.
- Product Knowledge
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of product features, pricing, and promotions.
- Attend training sessions to improve sales and product knowledge.
- Customer Service
- Handle customer queries, complaints, and returns professionally.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and maintain long‑term relationships.
- Provide after‑sales support where necessary.
- Store / Showroom Support
- Assist with merchandising, stock checks, and display maintenance.
- Ensure the sales area is tidy, organised, and visually appealing.
- Work with the team to maintain store standards and achieve collective goals.
- Reporting & Administration
- Update CRM systems with customer details and sales activity.
- Prepare reports on leads, sales performance, and customer feedback.
- Assist with stock‑taking when required.

Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 / Matric (minimum).
- Diploma in Sales, Marketing, or Business (advantageous).
- 1–3 years' experience in sales, retail, or customer service.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets (preferred).
