Job description

Job Title: Sales Consultant

Location: Western Cape, Cape Town

Deadline: September 22, 2025

Summary Role

  • Manage PERI business (customer, projects, turnover, discount) within a defined area or on a specific project.
  • Build and maintain customer trading relationships.
  • Grow PERI market share within your geographical area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deal professionally and efficiently with customers in the yard, applying the PERI Sales Way process to identify new and manage existing customer portfolios.
  • Retain customers and establish relationships with key decision-makers to achieve supplier/business partner status: Acquire-Extend-Retain.
  • Analyze regional projects and acquire new clients by demonstrating knowledge of PERI products and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Maintain a detailed pipeline of projects to maximize growth opportunities.
  • Close deals effectively, communicate payment terms clearly, and evaluate customer creditworthiness with support from management and finance.
  • Provide customers with relevant information and arrange site and technical training through the Technical Training Manager.
  • Meet and exceed financial targets by managing technical, legal, commercial, and logistical issues.
  • Forecast rental and sales figures accurately and update the CRM system regularly.
  • Assess profitability per customer and allocate time accordingly.
  • Analyze drawings and develop preliminary formwork and shoring solutions using PERI products, collaborating with internal teams for project development.
  • Create quotations from quantity lists, work with estimators and managers to submit tenders, and follow up to secure business.
  • Manage projects from client requests to material returns and invoice payments.
  • Take responsibility for site stripping when payment issues cannot be resolved, providing accurate information to operations.
  • Continuously improve industry, product, and competitor knowledge.
  • Populate the CRM system regularly with new project information.

Qualifications and Experience
