Overview: We are looking for a Sales Account Manager to own account strategies and execution in South Africa. Based in Johannesburg, objective is to grow and claim #1 market share for the account by executing the strategy, landing seasonal stories and right assortment to serve the target consumer.
What you will work on:
- Drive and execute the account vision and strategy with a focus on Lifestyle or Performance categories throughout pre- and in-season offense. You are the commercial voice for the marketplace, storytelling through the go-to-market process.
- Be a key member of the Marketplace function in South Africa and report to the Partner Manager for South Africa.
Responsibilities:
- Develop seasonal assortments, ensure seasonal product flow and optimize in-season trading and replenishment to maximize account results.
- Forecasts and scenario plans for the account using category, consumer, partner, brand and marketplace knowledge.
- Manage partner and marketplace: ensure best presentation of stories and products (digital & B&M) aligned with Nike Marketplace strategy.
- Build a premium consumer experience, scale online-to-offline; manage product launch journeys across account ecosystem.
- Contribute to net revenue growth and net contribution by managing end-to-end business with the account.
- Support and drive partner collaboration and ensure showroom and market presence as appropriate.

- Experience in partner/stakeholder management at buyer level: selling, consulting, negotiation.

- Cross-functional collaboration with Merchandising, Planning, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Geo teams in Johannesburg.

Essential requirements:
- Strong retail acumen and consumer trend awareness.
- Partner/stakeholder management at buyer level; strong negotiation skills.
- Cross-functional experience with internal and external stakeholders.
- Merchandising: create account assortments based on POS input and strategy.
- Analytical mindset with digital KPIs; retail planning using data to optimize inventory and gross margins.
- Digital acumen for premium E2E consumer experience.
