We are seeking a skilled Roof Fitter to join our team, specialising in the installation and maintenance of solar panels on residential, commercial, and industrial roofs. The successful candidate will ensure that solar installations are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while adhering to relevant health, safety, and building regulations.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair solar panel mounting systems on various roof types.
• Safely handle and install solar panels, inverters, and related equipment.
• Inspect and assess roofs for suitability, structure, and integrity before installation.
• Follow technical drawings, schematics, and manufacturer specifications accurately.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and building regulations at all times.
• Work collaboratively with electricians, plumbers, and other trades on multi-disciplinary projects.
• Complete documentation, certification, and handover for all installed systems.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 5 years’ working experience in roof fitting or solar panel installations.
• Recognised roofing or relevant trade qualification and certification (proof required).
• Strong knowledge of different roof types and solar panel installation techniques.
• Ability to work at heights safely and use appropriate fall protection equipment.
• Full driving licence is advantageous if the role involves travel between sites.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
