This position will be based in Castle Gate, Pretoria.

Role overview

We are looking for a dynamic, customer-focused Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of one of our showrooms. This role is responsible for driving sales, managing operational efficiency, maintaining brand integrity, and leading a high-performing team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
  • Drive store performance to meet and exceed sales and gross profit targets
  • Ensure compliance with discount management KPI
  • Manage operating expenses in line with budgets
  • Oversee effective stock control processes
  • General store administration
Brand & Customer Experience
  • Uphold exceptional Visual Merchandising standards and overall store presentation
  • Ensure showroom cleanliness and order across all areas
  • Deliver a premium, customer-centric shopping experience
  • Implement and maintain in-store standards, including music, staff dress code, and customer engagement
  • Execute consistent, high-quality business processes
People Management
  • Lead, motivate and manage all store staff
  • Conduct regular training and development
  • Manage performance
Operational Excellence
  • Ensure that processes detailed below are executed efficiently and as per company policy
    • Sales
    • Stock management
    • Point of sale
    • Visual Merchandising execution
    • Back of house operations
  • Ensure compliance with company/ internal terms and conditions
What you bring
  • Grade 12/ Matric
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Diploma or degree)
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience, with at least 3 years in senior management role
  • Previous experience in a consumer-focused retail environment
  • Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent financial acumen - analyzing and interpreting sales figures, understanding financial indicators and budget management
  • Proficient in working with different systems and technology, including POS and stock management systems
  • Available to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays
  • Valid driver’s license and own vehicle essential
