Job summary

A luxury hospitality group is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager for their fine dining restaurant in Cape Town. This role involves supporting the General Manager in daily operations and leading the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Candidates should have proven management experience in premium dining and possess strong leadership and communication skills. A full-time, permanent position with a salary of ZAR 25,000 gross per month is offered. Excellent candidates will also receive a duty meal and uniform.

An established luxury hospitality group is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to join a high-performing Italian fine dining restaurant in Sea Point, Cape Town. This role sits directly beneath the General Manager and Operating Partner and is designed as a strong second in command position with clear progression potential. The successful candidate will play a critical role in daily operations, team leadership, and guest experience delivery in a fast-paced, standards-driven environment.

The venue forms part of a respected restaurant group known for consistent quality, strong operational systems, and a loyal guest base. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded front-of-house leader looking to step into a senior management pathway within a premium dining context.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the GM and Operating Partner in the full day-to-day management of the restaurant
  • Lead, train, and motivate the front-of-house team to deliver consistent, high-level service
  • Ensure guest experience standards are upheld across all services
  • Oversee staff scheduling, attendance, and floor deployment
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve service issues professionally and decisively
  • Maintain operational discipline around opening, closing, and shift handovers
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company operating procedures
  • Assist with stock control, cost awareness, and basic reporting where required
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a Restaurant Manager, Assistant General Manager, or strong 2IC FOH role
  • Background in premium casual or fine dining restaurants
  • Strong leadership presence on the floor with hands-on service style
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Ability to work a six-day roster in a high-volume environment
  • Calm, solutions-focused approach under pressure
  • Candidates aged 25–35 preferred, though best-fit candidates will be considered
