Restaurant Manager

Location: Mitchells Plain, Cape Town

Salary Package : R15,000 + Benefits (Medical Aid, Provident Fund, Performance Bonus)

Overview

A well-established casual dining restaurant in Mitchells Plain is seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead daily operations, supervise staff, and uphold high standards of service and compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for hospitality and strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures
  • Lead and manage front-of-house and kitchen staff
  • Conduct ongoing staff training and development
  • Monitor and manage stock levels
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
  • Handle customer service, equipment maintenance, and administrative tasks
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, service, and cleanliness
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and company policies
Requirements

Matric / Grade 12 (Hospitality Diploma preferred)

  • Minimum of 3 years’ recent experience in a restaurant supervisory or management role (essential)
  • Fully bilingual (English and at least one other South African language)
  • Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel
  • Own reliable vehicle (essential)
  • Clear criminal record
Working Hours
  • Monday to Friday: 07:00 – 19:00 (with one day off every second week)
  • Weekends: 06:00 – 18:00 (every second weekend off)
