A leading tech consulting company is looking for a Resource Officer in Cape Town, South Africa. The role necessitates strategically managing resource allocation to optimize utilization and skills for client projects. Resource Officer
The Resource Officer is a critical role within the Resource Management department, responsible for strategically managing resource allocation across the consulting team to ensure optimal utilisation and skillset alignment for client projects. Reporting to the Head of Resource Management, this position requires previous experience in resource management, strong problem-solving abilities, data analysis skills, and proficiency in conflict resolution and stakeholder management. The ideal candidate will work independently, adhering to operational rhythms and deadlines while providing excellent service to the business.
The budgeted salary for this role is 26,000 ZAR

Resource Allocation: Strategically allocating resources to various projects based on skill sets, availability, and project requirements to ensure optimal utilisation.
Utilisation Monitoring: Tracking and ensuring that resources achieve utilisation targets, adjusting allocations as necessary to meet business goals.
Stakeholder Management: Developing and maintaining strong relationships with senior members of the portfolios they are allocated to, acting as a trusted advisor.
Data Analysis: Analyzing resource data to forecast demand, identify potential shortages or surpluses, and make informed decisions about resource allocation.
Conflict Resolution: Resolving any conflicts that arise from resource allocation issues, negotiating between different stakeholders to find mutually agreeable solutions.
Operational Rhythm Adherence: Working independently while adhering to the established resource management operating rhythm and meeting all deadlines throughout the week.
System Proficiency: Using resource management tools such as Kantata proficiently for scheduling and tracking purposes.
Business Knowledge: Understanding the specific business area they are allocated to in order to provide tailored resourcing solutions that align with business objectives.
Service Provision: Providing a high level of service to the business by responding promptly and effectively to resourcing requests and challenges.
Previous experience of working as a resource officer or in a similar role is essential
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent organisation and time management skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Demonstrate the ability to follow processes and procedures
Agile approach, able to multi-task and manage priorities to meet deadlines
Ability to communicate with colleagues and clients and at all levels
Able to interpret data
Experience of Microsoft Office such as Outlook, Word, Excel is essential
Knowledge of Kantata is desirable but not essential
