Job summary

A remote accounting services firm is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their team. You will be responsible for daily accounting functions, month-end close, financial reporting, and process improvements while working US hours from South Africa. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of accounting experience and a strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. This role offers a salary range of R50,000 - R60,000 per month.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience (GL, AP, AR, or similar).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Experience with Spectrum or similar construction accounting tools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Record journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements.
