Job summary

A leading security services company is looking for an Area Manager for their Guarding Division based in Johannesburg East. The candidate will be responsible for conducting threat and risk assessments, managing manpower and equipment, and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements. A PSIRA Grade A certification and a Grade 12 or equivalent is required, along with excellent communication skills and relevant managerial experience. Qualifications

• Experience in a managerial or similar position is required.
• Must be willing to undergo a polygraph test.
• Must have confidence in dealing with the public and clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct threat and risk assessments and reporting.
• Manage client relationships professionally.
• Handle manpower management and rostering.
• Oversee equipment management and compliance.
• Address and resolve client complaints effectively.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
• Manage incidents and investigations.
• Follow all company SOPs and health and safety standards.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports.

Skills

PSIRA certification – Grade A

Bilingual (English and any other South African Language)

Excellent written & verbal communication skills

Computer literate and knowledge of MS Office and Emails

Knowledge of methods and techniques of risk management and risk assessment

Clean disciplinary, criminal and credit record

Firearm competency

First aid and fire-fighting training

Own reliable transport and driver's license code 08

Ability to work under pressure

Education

Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
