A leading commercial property firm in East London seeks a Regional Finance Manager to provide financial insight and support operational decisions. This role requires strong budgeting and forecasting capabilities, along with leadership and analytical skills. The ideal candidate holds an Accounting or Finance degree and has experience in managing commercial property portfolios. The position entails managing regional staff, preparing financial reports, and engaging with senior management to influence business outcomes.
Are you a commercially minded finance professional looking for a role with real regional influence? This opportunity offers far more than traditional reporting. This is a position where financial insight directly shapes operational decisions, with regular exposure to senior leadership and tangible impact on leasing performance, cash flow and portfolio outcomes. It’s well suited to someone who enjoys being close to the business and turning numbers into action.
The organisation is an established commercial property group with a national footprint and a strong regional presence. Known for its hands‑on, operational approach, the business manages a diverse commercial portfolio and values accountability, collaboration and long‑term value creation. The East London office plays a key role within the group and carries significant operational responsibility.
The Regional Finance Manager will act as the financial and operational anchor for the region, working closely with the Regional Head and senior stakeholders. The role spans portfolio performance analysis, budgeting and forecasting, variance investigation and the identification of underperforming assets. You will support and guide teams across billing, debtors, leasing, facilities and cash flow, ensuring financial discipline is embedded in day‑to‑day operations. A key aspect of the role involves preparing management packs, developing dashboards and KPIs, and presenting clear, commercially focused insights to senior management.
This position also requires leadership and influence. You will manage regional staff, facilitate management meetings, coordinate reporting across functions and act as the primary link between the region and central finance. Confidence engaging with EXCO and senior management is essential, along with the ability to explain complex financial and operational matters in a practical, solution‑driven manner. Familiarity with property management systems, particularly MDA, will be advantageous.
The ideal candidate will hold an Accounting or Finance degree and have experience within a commercial property environment, specifically office, retail or industrial portfolios. Strong budgeting and forecasting skills are essential, supported by an analytical mindset and a solid understanding of lease agreements and property operations. Bilingual Afrikaans and English proficiency is preferred. A professional designation such as CA(SA) or CIMA will be advantageous, with asset or portfolio management exposure being a strong differentiator.
This role suits someone ready to take ownership in a regional leadership position and influence outcomes rather than simply report on them.
