Job description

A leading property development company is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for measuring projects, pricing and budgeting, valuations, and material approvals, ensuring that construction and development projects are accurately monitored and aligned with company and site requirements. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting operational efficiency across the business.

Responsibilities
  • Project Measurement & Pricing: Measure projects based on Architect and Engineer’s plans; Price projects using current market-related rates; Review plan measurements and communicate any discrepancies.
  • Valuations & Financial Monitoring: Value subcontractor work for payment; Assess site progress for development bond draws; Update forecasts monthly and monitor site expenditure.
  • Material & Subcontractor Management: Approve material and subcontractor orders placed by Site Managers; Communicate with Site Managers for updates on budgets.
Requirements
  • BSc/BTech Degree in Quantity Surveying (non-negotiable)
  • 3–5 years' working experience as a Quantity Surveyor
  • Experience in project measurement, pricing, and valuations
  • Strong understanding of construction and property development processes
  • Deadline-driven and able to work well under pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to work both independently and in a team
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • High sense of urgency and confidentiality
  • Reliable and dependable, able to manage multiple tasks
