Mission of the role

The Production Supervisor oversees daily quality control in a high‑precision CNC manufacturing environment, ensuring production meets targets. They lead, motivate, and develop the team to enhance skills and throughput, supporting Weco’s objective of achieving a 20% annual increase in output.

Your mission
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce and improve safety standards, ensure PPE use, conduct training, and lead incident investigations with corrective actions.
  • Daily Operations: Oversee QC standards, host daily pulse meetings, supervise production/QC areas, drive process improvements, and manage work centre schedules.
  • Team Development & Performance: Track output, conduct 1‑on‑1 reviews, facilitate annual P&D discussions, and foster a high‑performing, improvement‑focused culture.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform line inspections, lead NCR and quality investigations, and train staff on QC procedures and tools.
  • Problem Solving & Innovation: Resolve bottlenecks, report on metrics, implement Lean/6S practices, and explore new processes for efficiency gains.
  • Team & Resource Management: Approve leave/overtime, handle HR matters, coordinate with maintenance for proactive schedules, assist with breakdowns, and ensure daily checks.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Supply Chain: Manage tooling/material requisitions, attend key meetings, and work across functions to meet client and rebuild requirements.
Your profile
  • Trade Tested Artisan - Fitter & Turner, Machinist, Tool and Die Maker or equivalent
  • 5 years machining experience
  • 3 – 5 years team leader/supervisor skills
  • CNC Machining Training (Milling, Turning & Grinding)
  • Drafting / Technical Drawing (Preferably SolidWorks)
  • CNC Programming (Preferably EdgeCam)
  • Exposure to HMLV production environment
  • MS Office – Excel, PPT & MS Teams specifically
