Education
Qualified Diesel Mechanic (Red Seal or equivalent)
Requirements :
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic (Red Seal or equivalent trade test certificate).
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience working with diesel engines, trucks, or heavy-duty vehicles.
- Previous experience with Chinese-made trucks (FAW, Foton, Powerstar, Sinotruk, Shacman, etc.) will be highly advantageous.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Valid driver’s license (Code 14 advantageous).
- Attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
- Technical knowledge of diesel engines, drivetrains, braking, and electrical systems.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot effectively.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and proactive work ethic.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct thorough pre-delivery inspections on trucks, including mechanical, electrical, and safety checks.
- Perform adjustments, calibrations, and minor repairs as required to meet manufacturer and company standards.
- Diagnose and report any mechanical or technical issues.
- Complete PDI checklists and maintain accurate service records.
- Conduct road tests where necessary to verify performance and safety.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet delivery timelines.
