Job summary

A property management firm in Durban is looking for a seasoned administrator to oversee accounting and compliance functions. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in body corporate management and will ensure adherence to the Sectional Title Act. Key responsibilities include managing financial processes, communicating with clients and Trustees, and supporting administration teams. The position requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years experience in sectional title / body corporate administration or property management.
  • Strong knowledge of the Sectional Title Act.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee accounting and administrative tasks for various bodies corporate.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal standards.
  • Manage customer queries and maintain relationships with Trustees.
  • Prepare and attend AGMs and meet with Trustees regularly.

Skills

Strong financial acumen and analytical ability
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in accounting systems and MS Office Suite
High attention to detail and deadline driven
Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
Ability to build and maintain professional trustee and client relationships

Education

Matric / Grade 12
Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, B Com or Management
