Job Description

The Programme Manager is responsible for planning, leading, and delivering multiple projects or programmes within a portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. This role drives governance, risk management, and compliance throughout the delivery lifecycle while ensuring benefits realization. The Programme Manager acts as a key liaison between business units and senior leadership to ensure strategic outcomes are achieved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Programme Delivery: Oversee end-to-end delivery of programmes, ensuring milestones, benefits, and quality standards are achieved.
  • Strategic Alignment: Ensure all programmes align with organizational goals and transformation objectives.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including CxO-level engagement, and manage expectations effectively.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify, elevate, and mitigate risks across projects; implement robust contingency plans.
  • Financial Control: Track budgets, forecasts, and ensure cost efficiency; provide accurate financial reporting.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor project managers and support staff within the programme; foster a high-performance culture.
  • Governance: Ensure adherence to Capita’s governance frameworks, compliance standards, and reporting requirements.
  • Change Management: Drive adoption of new processes and systems, ensuring smooth transition and minimal disruption.

  • of 5+ years of relevant programme and project management experience, ideally in transformation or large-scale change environments.

    Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including CxO-level engagement.
  • Risk & Financial Management:
    Skilled in identifying and mitigating risks, managing budgets, and ensuring cost efficiency.
  • Methodologies:
