A leading pharmaceutical firm is looking for a Professional Sales Representative to promote companion animal products. The role requires strong sales skills, relationship-building expertise, and a background in veterinary science or related fields. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of sales experience, a valid driver's license, and a passion for animal health. This position supports frequent travel within the Eastern Cape region and offers substantial benefits.

Client: Our client is a well-established Pharmaceutical Animal Health Multinational, with a large animal health portfolio with its head office in Johannesburg, and with a National and Africa presence.
Job Purpose: We are seeking a dynamic and driven Professional Sales Representative to promote and sell a designated portfolio of companion animal products to veterinary practices and specialty pet retail shops.
Planning & Strategy: Stay up to date with product portfolio, pricing, market trends, and competition; maintain accurate customer records and call reports via CRM; align account plans with marketing programs and strategic direction; analyze territory and customer data to identify growth opportunities.
Customer Relationships: Build and maintain high-quality, long-term partnerships with clients; share best practices and contribute to team success.
Sales & Call Activity: Meet call activity KPIs to ensure optimal customer coverage; set clear objectives for each customer interaction; deliver marketing messages and product information aligned with solution selling; identify and act on customer opportunities; record all call activity accurately in CRM; ensure timely follow-ups and action plans.
Compliance: Uphold high standards of business conduct and compliance; adhere to relevant policies including Pharmacovigilance, travel & expenses, and local codes of practice.
Preferable qualification in Veterinary Science, Animal Health, Animal Science, Agriculture, or related field.
Computer literate with proficiency in standard business software.
3–5 years of sales experience preferred.
Experience in veterinary / pharmaceutical industry is advantageous.
Proven track record in sales and key account management.
