We are a leading civil engineering construction company specializing in pipeline construction, seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Procurement Clerk with buyer experience. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient procurement of materials and equipment necessary for our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize expertise in civil engineering materials to assess quality and suitability for various projects.
  • Review and verify requisitions for accuracy, ensuring that all requests are justified and aligned with project needs.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify the best prices for materials and equipment.
  • Obtain necessary approvals from relevant managers before finalizing purchases.
  • Execute purchase orders for materials, stock, and rental equipment, ensuring timely procurement to meet project timelines.
  • Facilitate effective communication between suppliers, project managers, and internal teams to manage delivery schedules and resolve any issues.
  • Collaborate with the storeman to monitor inventory levels, track stock movements, and ensure that materials are available when needed.
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a Procurement Clerk or Buyer in the civil engineering or construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering materials, products, and procurement processes.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • A relevant degree or diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
