A recruitment agency is seeking a proactive PR Civil Engineer to join a client's team in Secunda. The role involves managing public engagement, coordinating stakeholder relations, and ensuring regulatory compliance for civil engineering projects. Candidates must hold Pr Eng / Pr Tech certification, have a minimum of 8 years' experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD 3D. Preference will be given to South African citizens willing to relocate to Secunda, and experience in the Oil & Gas industry is a plus.

Overview

Hire Resolve is currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented PR Civil Engineer to join our client’s team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing public relations support and technical expertise within engineering projects while maintaining a strong focus on communication with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

• Manage public engagement efforts, ensuring transparent communication regarding project status and impacts.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders, including governmental agencies, community groups, and the public.
• Assist in the preparation of documents and presentations for public meetings and hearings.
• Advise on technical documentation related to civil engineering projects.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
• Support project management in developing strategies for effective public relations and community engagement.
• Monitor and address public feedback and concerns while maintaining positive relationships.
• Collaborate with project teams to align engineering objectives with public relations goals.
• Maintain documentation and records for public engagement activities.

Requirements

• Must be Pr Eng / Pr Tech
• Must have experience in AutoCAD 3D
• Must be an SA Citizen
• Must be willing to relocate to Secunda (traveling up and down is not an option)
• Minimum 8 years’ experience
• Design experience in roads, water, sewer, and stormwater
• Geometric / Pavement Design would be great
• Experience with work on Provincial / National Roads
• EE would be an advantage but not a requirement
• Experience in the Oil & Gas Industry (Brownfields) will be an advantage
